Who We Are
Inclusive Action for Development and Sustainability (INADESU) is a grassroots organization working across Cameroon to advance human rights, education, health, economic opportunity, and sustainable development for marginalized communities.
Leku Sylvie Nakou founded INADESU with a commitment to inclusive development and human rights. Her leadership shapes the organization’s work across health, education, economic empowerment, and advocacy initiatives. Sylvie’s vision is grounded in direct community engagement and respect for local knowledge and agency.
Based in Buea, South West Region, we work directly with individuals and communities to identify their needs and co-create solutions that build dignity, resilience, and self-determination.
Our Mission
To provide quality education, peace building, sustainable development, health education, environmental justice, economic empowerment, gender equality and poverty alleviation, with special focus on less privileged people and persons with disabilities, by educating and organising empowerment and skill development programs to help them discover their potential.
Our Vision
Working together to improve the world by assisting women, children, persons with disabilities, and marginalized people in reaching their full potential.
How We Work
We organize our work through five interconnected departments, each addressing critical aspects of community wellbeing:
Health
The health department handles health-related issues and organizes health workshops and awareness campaigns.
Entrepreneurship and Agricultural Development
Trains women and men in agricultural activities, crop-yield techniques, and practical skills; it also facilitates access to fertilizers and farming equipment.
Advocacy and Human Rights
Works to empower people to defend their rights, promote gender equality, address gender violence, and connect neglected community members with appropriate organizations.
Project Management
Oversees projects, monitors progress, prepares interim and final reports, and develops grants and concept notes.
Education, Research and Development
Carries out projects and activities that support pupils' learning, students' academic development, and research skills.
We believe these areas are deeply interconnected. Health depends on education and economic security. Advocacy without direct service misses communities in crisis. Education without economic opportunity leaves young people stranded. Our integrated approach recognizes that sustainable change requires working across all five pillars.
